This Privacy Policy describes how PRZone ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your personal information when you use our app and website.
Last updated: 5 August 2026. PRZone now includes social features — profiles, a feed, follows, comments, and photos. This policy covers them.
01Information we collect
- Account information: Your name, email address, and, if you sign in with Apple or Google, the account identifier they return to us.
- Profile and body information: Your date of birth, gender, height, weight, and training preferences, collected during onboarding and editable at any time.
- Health and fitness data: Your workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, distances, pace, duration, rest timers, notes, personal records, goals, and streaks. If you grant access, we also read and write workout data through Apple Health.
- Social content: Your username, bio, profile photo, posts, captions, post photos, comments, likes, and who you follow or are followed by.
- Safety data: Users you block, and reports you submit about other people's content, including the reason and any details you write.
- Device and notification data: Device and operating system details, app version, language, time zone, and a push notification token if you enable notifications.
- Purchase data: Your subscription status and entitlements. Payments are processed by Apple or Google — we never receive your card details.
- Support data: Messages and feedback you send us from inside the app.
- Usage data and cookies: See sections 05 and 06.
02How we use your information
- To provide the app: storing your workouts, calculating personal records, and syncing across your devices.
- To operate the social features: showing your posts to the audience you choose, delivering follows, likes, and comments, and powering search and discovery.
- To keep the community safe: screening content, handling reports, and enforcing our terms.
- To send notifications you have enabled, such as follow requests, comments, and streak reminders.
- To provide customer support and respond to your feedback.
- To diagnose crashes and understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
- To manage subscriptions and entitlements.
- To comply with legal obligations.
03What other people can see
Some of your information is shown to other people by design. This is the part of the policy worth reading closely.
- Your profile. New accounts are set to public by default. A public profile — your username, name, profile photo, bio, and aggregate stats — can be viewed by anyone and appears in search and discovery. You can switch your profile to private at any time in the app, which means only followers you approve can see your posts.
- Your username. When you complete onboarding we generate a username for you automatically. You can change it in the app.
- Your posts. When you share a workout, you choose its audience: everyone, your followers, or only you. A post shared with everyone from a public profile can appear in the Explore feed and be seen by any PRZone user.
- On the open web. Public posts and public profiles are also reachable at przone.app links, without a PRZone account, so they can be opened by anyone the link is shared with. These pages may be indexed by search engines.
- Comments and likes. Anyone who can see a post can see who liked and commented on it.
- Blocking. Blocking is not announced to the person you block, but it does change what they can see.
If you would rather keep everything private, set your profile to private and set your default post audience to "Only me". Changing your profile from private to public will automatically accept any pending follow requests.
04Content moderation
To keep the community safe, text you submit — post captions, comments, your display name, username, and bio — is checked automatically before or shortly after it appears.
- Automated screening: That text is sent to OpenAI's moderation service, which classifies it for categories such as hate, harassment, and sexual content involving minors. OpenAI processes it in the United States. It is used only to return a classification.
- Outcomes: High-confidence matches are blocked and never become visible to others. Borderline matches stay visible but are flagged for our review. Everything else passes through.
- Re-checks: Editing a caption, renaming a workout attached to a post, or changing your profile text will re-run the check.
- Photos: Images are not screened automatically. We review them when they are reported.
- Reports: When you report content, we can see the content, who posted it, your report reason and details, and the fact that you were the reporter. We do not tell the reported user who reported them.
05App analytics and diagnostics
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used, and Sentry to catch crashes and errors. PostHog data is sent to its European Union service endpoint.
- Product analytics: Feature usage events such as starting a workout, sharing a post, or opening the paywall, along with device and app version details.
- Identified analytics: Once you sign in, these events are associated with your user ID and email address. Unlike our website analytics, app analytics are not anonymous.
- Session replay: PostHog records a reconstruction of your app screens so we can see how people move through the product. Password fields are always masked. Other on-screen text and images are currently captured, which means a replay can include content shown to you in the app, including other users' posts and photos.
- Crash diagnostics: Sentry receives error messages, stack traces, device details, and the app version when something goes wrong.
- Subscriptions: RevenueCat receives your user ID and purchase events to manage your entitlements.
06Website analytics
PRZone uses PostHog to understand how the public website is used and which links help visitors reach the app. PostHog data is sent to its European Union service endpoint.
- What we collect: Sanitized page categories, referral source, optional campaign tags, browser and device details, and interactions such as app-store or deep-link clicks.
- What we exclude: Names, email addresses, passwords, authentication tokens, public-content identifiers, form values, and session recordings.
- Cookieless mode: Before you choose, or after you decline analytics storage, events are sent without analytics cookies, a durable visitor identifier, cross-visit profiles, or session recording.
- Optional analytics storage: If you select "Allow analytics storage," PostHog stores a pseudonymous browser identifier so return visits and campaign attribution can be measured over time.
- Your choice: You can change between persistent and cookieless analytics at any time through "Analytics settings" in the website footer. We do not identify website visitors as app users.
08Retention and deletion
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services.
- Account data (name, email, profile, body metrics, workout history, templates, exercises, posts, comments, likes, and follows) is stored for as long as you keep your account.
- When you delete your account, your profile and the records attached to it — including your posts, comments, likes, and follows — are deleted from our database. For step-by-step instructions, see our Account Deletion page.
- Some traces can outlive deletion. Reports you filed about other people, and reports other people filed about you, are kept as part of our safety record. Backups are retained on a rolling basis and are overwritten in the normal course. Uploaded images may persist in storage for a short period after the account record is removed.
- Analytics and diagnostic data (PostHog and Sentry) may be retained for up to 12 months after account deletion.
- We may retain certain data for longer where required by law or to resolve disputes.
09Data security
We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information, including access controls on our database and signed, expiring links for private images. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
10Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
You can permanently delete your PRZone account and the data associated with it at any time directly from the app. For step-by-step instructions, visit our Account Deletion page. For any other request, contact us at the address in section 13.
11Age requirement
PRZone is not intended for children under 13, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
12Changes to this privacy policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the date at the top.
